I’m an only child. I didn’t learn to share. Then along came Grandpa Henley. Grandpa was a craggy old Irishman. His twenty other grandkids were scared of him. I adored him.
He’d pour a glass of milk, grab a hunk of cornbread, and say, “Come on, honey. It’s story time.”
Like most Irishman Grandpa was full of blarney. He’d say, “Honey, do you know why Grandpa never made it to Beaver Island?”
“Why, Grandpa?”
“I’d start swimming, but by the time I got half way there, I was so tired I had to turn around and swim back. But, honey, your old grandpa never gave up.
Grandpa’s stories always had a lesson. The more stories he shared the more I loved him. Through Grandpa I learned the power of storytelling. I knew someday, somehow I would help others share their stories.
Sharing stories on the OneDigital Trust platform is easy:
- Write a story.
- Add photos, audios, and/or videos.
- Save everything.
- Check the box next to “Story completed.”
- Click on the blue “Share” box at the top of the page.
- Select existing people from the drop down menu or add new people.
- Click “Save.”
It’s just that easy.
Enjoy.
And remember I’m here for you.
